Paul Bromley & Erin Dertouzos

Claire Dertouzos of Garfield, N.J., announces the engagement of her daughter, Erin Kathleen Dertouzos, to Paul Ashley Bromley, son of Theresa and Joseph Bromley of Newtown.

Erin is the daughter of Claire and the late Michael Dertouzos.

Erin and Paul met in July 2008 when they were both guests at a wedding. They began dating shortly thereafter, and Paul proposed to Erin after the two hiked to the top of Mohonk Mountain in October 2009. The couple will be married this October in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

The couple lives in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Erin is a team development manager for Meetup. She graduated from Cardinal Newman Catholic High School in West Palm Beach, Fla., in 2001, and then from Hartwick College in 2005 with a major in psychology and a minor in anthropology.

Paul attended Charleston Catholic High School and then Newtown High School, graduating in 1999. He is also a graduate of Clarkson University, having majored in mechanical engineering with a concentration in manufacturing engineering. He is employed as a plant manager for Virginia Dare.
