NHS Slates Parent/Guardian Night For Current Sophomores

Newtown High School is scheduled to hold an information night for parents or guardians of current sophomores on Tuesday, March 29, from 7 until 8:30 pm, in the school’s auditorium.

The “Tenth Grade Information Night” for sophomores and their parents or guardians will include an overview on what to expect in a student’s junior year at NHS, important upcoming dates, and services the school’s Career Center can provide.

After the event begins in the auditorium, the event will progress to include small group discussions on the Naviance program, standardized testing, and a “to do list” for sophomores.

Other upcoming dates at NHS include a College Fair, scheduled for Wednesday, March 30, from 7 to 8:30 pm in the school’s gymnasium; a “Non-4-Year Post Secondary Fair” on Thursday, April 7, from 1 to 4 pm in the school’s Gym 3; and “The Plan (the practice ACT)” will be held at the high school on Saturday, April 9, at 7:30 am.
