‘Dreamcoat’ Was Amazing

To the Editor:

Let me tell you what was wrong with Newtown High School’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat: Nothing. The production was stellar in every way.

Having been involved in high school, community, and college theater, I did not expect the level of brilliance in this high school production: gorgeous, strong voices and vocal harmonies; crisp, clear sound; ensemble acting with wonderful stage presence; a tight, spirited pit orchestra; good costumes; fine casting and directing... wow, I was truly blown away. Seriously, that was one of the best events I have attended in Newtown in my 15 years living here. Thank you Newtown High School. Kudos and congrats to everyone involved. I can’t wait for next year’s production!
