Summer Music And Arts Program

Newtown Continuing Education is once again offering its Summer Music and Arts (SMART) program. SMART is a comprehensive summer enrichment program of music, visual arts, creative dramatics, and science in art, which is designed to enhance creative potential. It is open to students in grades K through 6 and is not limited to Newtown residents.

SMART classes include Jewelry Design, Collage & 3D Art, Crazy Cool Colorful Clay, the Great Clay adventure, Young Authors & Illustrators, Introduction to Theater, Intensive Play Production, Native American Art, and Science Wizards.

SMART sessions are July 5–15 and July 18–29 from 8:30 am to 1 pm. Students choose three classes during the day. For a brochure or more information, call Elissa Gellis at the Newtown Continuing Education office, 426-1787.
