Signup Begins For Pan-Mass. Challenge

NEEDHAM, MASS. — Online registration has begun for volunteers for the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge (PMS) at www.pmc.org.

Volunteers are needed to help with setup, luggage transport, registration, medical support, bike mechanics, security, food service, and cleanup during the two-day bike-a-thon that spans 192 miles and raises money for cancer research and treatment.

Massage, occupational, and physical therapists are also needed to massage the muscles of thousands of weary cyclists.

The PMC, set for August 6 and 7, has raised more than $122 million over the past 25 years. The goal this year is to raise an additional $21 million for cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund.
