Jack J.     Marcinek

Jack J. Marcinek, 78, of 46 Quarry Ridge Road, Washington, died March 20 at his home. He was the husband of Lorraine A. Younggren Marcinek.

In addition to his beloved wife of 52 years, he is survived by four sons, John Marcinek of Newtown, Fred Marcinek of Everett, Wash., Tom Marcinek of Seattle, Wash., and Dan Marcinek of Austin, Texas; a sister, Nancy Timmons of Gainesville, Fla.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr Marcinek was born in Chicago, Ill., October 14, 1926, son of the late Joseph and Marie Bobora Marcinek.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the US Army. He received a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University and a master of science from Steven’s Institute of Technology. After graduation, he worked in the aerospace industry, beginning at General Dynamics and going on to upper management positions with Walter Kidde and Co., and Northrup & Norden. After retiring, he formed his own market research consulting business, the JEL Group.

Mr Marcinek was an associate fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and an IEEE Life Senior member.

He grew up in Shamokin, Penn., and lived in Redding, before moving to Washington in 1995.

Funeral services will be private, at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements by the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford.
