Gratitude And The Good Life

On Sunday, March 13, local author Nancy Schulz celebrated the publishing of her book, Dirt Rich The New American Gentry, with a book signing and reception at the C.H. Booth Library. The afternoon was a huge success, providing family, friends, and other Newtowners with the chance to visit with Nancy, purchase a signed copy of Dirt Rich, and hear a little bit on how we can all achieve personal happiness. In the book Nancy shares some basic tools on how to live a happy life including gratitude for what one has, grappling with what you need, and how to accept what you have attained with humility and grace.

In keeping with the theme of her book, and indeed her life philosophy, Nancy donated all proceeds of the event to the library. Nancy feels that to live life to the fullest we need to embrace our gifts and then share them with family and friends. The library is indeed grateful to be a friend of Nancy’s. A few signed copies of the book are still available at the library for anyone who may be interested.
