Comfy Quilts Sew-In

DANBURY — The Connecticut chapter of the American Sewing Guild is holding a community service project, Comfy Quilts, where member and non-member sewers will make lap quilts for cancer patients in area hospitals.

The chapter will host a Comfy Quilts Sew-In on Saturday, April 2, from 10 am to 3 pm, at St James Episcopal Church, 25 West Street in Danbury.

Non-members are invited to join members for all or part of the event.

Anyone wishing to donate fabric, cut or sew the quilt tops before the gathering on April 2 should call 746-5237.

Participants will need to bring a sewing machine or serger, neutral thread, basic sewing supplies, and their lunch. Squares of fabric are optional.
