A “tale as old as time” is coming together on the stage at Newtown Middle School. Students have been hard at work to prepare for the musical Beauty and the Beast Jr, which will be staged at the school, 11 Queen Street, April 5 to 7.

Beauty and the Beast Jr will be presented April 5 and 6, at 7 pm, and April 6 and 7, at 2 pm. Tickets for the show will be $10. Tickets can be purchased online at showtix4u.com/events/2279.

As the students wrapped up a rehearsal on March 14, Producer Andrew Tammero and Choreographer Meghan Quinn were quick to stand up and clap for the students. Theresa Talluto is directing the musical.
