DANBURY â The Housatonic Valley Cultural Alliance has issued a call for entries for a creative challenge, in which local artists are invited to create HVCAâs new association logo.
The selected graphic designer will create a logo design package for HVCA to use on letterhead, business cards, brochures, banners, and websites. Selected artist will also have the opportunity to provide collateral design services including membership brochures, banners, etc. In addition, the graphic designer will work with the web design team to update the website. Cash and award prizes valued at $1,875 will be given to the winner of the challenge for the completion of design and services.
Deadline for applications is April 6.
Applicants are asked submit samples of their work for review by HVCA at www.hvculturalarts.org/logodesign. One designer will be selected and all applicants will be notified of their status. The announcement of the selected designer will be made on April 4.
Selected artist will work closely with HVCA to finalize the basic logo design package, due by May 4. The completion of brand materials will be done by June 1.
The competition is open to all artists/graphic designers, but it is limited to 20 applications on a first come, first served basis. Applicants must HVCA members. For membership information, visit the HVCA website and click on Join Now (in the upper black banner) for details. Cost for an individual membership is $25. All submissions will be done electronically.
The design does not have to be based on the name of the organization, but should reflect western Connecticut. Using a symbol, pictorial or abstract art is fine. For additional details and access to the registration form, visit www.hvculturalarts.org/logodesign.
