Draw On! Entries On Display At NMS
For the fourth year in a row, Newtown Middle School has participated in the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum of Ridgefieldâs Draw On! program under the guidance of NMS art teacher Arlene Spoonfeather.
Entries for the program have already started lining one section of the schoolâs hallways, near the schoolâs cafeteria. This year, participants were asked to draw on a paper plate, and those plates have been put on display for the whole school community to see.
Draw On! is recognized by other schools and locations across the state, and it was started by the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in 2006. The program is designed to bring people together through drawing.
At the middle school, Ms Spoonfeather said everyone associated with the school was asked to submit an entry for this yearâs Draw On! effort.
Stop & Shop of Newtown donated the paper plates used for the entries.
