Condon Helps Elms To Conference Title

Sandy Hook’s Katie Condon, senior at Elms College in Chicopee, Mass, and captain on the women’s basketball team, recently helped the Blazers win the New England Collegiate Conference championship for the first time in school history. Elms defeated Daniel Webster 66-64 in the championship game. Condon suffered a separated shoulder this season but came back and helped spark the Blazers. She played 17 minutes in the title game and contributed five points and an assist.

The Blazers qualified for the Division III NCAA Tournament and fell to host Ithaca, N.Y. 84-37 in the opening round in early March.

The Blazers capped the season with a 20-9 record

Condon, a 5-foot-6 guard, is studying English and education.
