Big Bubbles, Big Fun, March 25

At Newtown Middle School

BubbleMania 2012, featuring Casey Carle, will be performed Sunday, March 25, at Newtown Middle School, 11 Queen Street. Performances will be at 1 and 3 pm. Attendees will enjoy bubble science, bubble tricks and fun, and learn “the art of bubbleology.”

(Please note this press release had a headline that gave an incorrect location for BubbleMania when it appeared in the March 16, 2012, print edition of The Newtown Bee. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.)

Admission is $8, or $30 for four patrons. Tickets will be available at the door, but are also available in advance at C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street or reservations can be made by sending an e-mail to newtownJWC@gmail.com.

Mr Carle, soap bubble consultant to Cirque du Soleil (which calls him “a true master of his craft”), has made his living in entertainment since 1985 with stage and TV credits that include Ringling Bros, Curtis, Smithsonian Institute, Discovery and Science Channels, TV Tokyo, and thousands of schools and libraries. His skills have taken him across the continent and beyond including Hawaii, Singapore, China, Mexico, and India. He has performed thousands of shows since 1989.

His show has become so popular there are now multiple performers.

Mr Carle lives in East Haddam with his wife, the performance artist Kandie (“The Victorian Lade”) Carle.

Newtown Junior Women’s Club raises funds for its civic programs through annual fundraisers. The club offers spring flower sales, fall mum sales, cookbooks, a chocolate festival, and BubbleMania. Proceeds from these events help NJWC cover its community programs including Back To School Backpacks, Discovery Science workshops, and Tag-A-Gift holiday toys.
