Amateur Radio Tech Class Forming

Candlewood Area Radio Association (CARA) will be holding a technician class (entry level) for amateur radio (“ham radio”) in Newtown.

Sessions will begin on Tuesday, April 10, and will run for eight weeks. The cost is expected to be $60 and includes the book.

Classes will run from 6 to 9 pm each week, with the test to be administered on Saturday, June 2.

There will eight instructors, all hams with a license, who are also prior instructors.

Those who complete the course, and successfully pass the test, will earn their ham radio license.
