That first year and for the subsequent three years, Team 26 rode from Newtown to Washington DC to raise awareness of the lax gun laws in America.ÃÂ ButÃÂ in 2017, for the 5th anniversary of the ride and a response at Washington's lack of action, Team 26 turned their backs and rode from Washington to Newtown.
As Team 26 enters its sixth year and with its founder Mr FrankÃÂ a declared candidate forÃÂ Lt Governor, the bike messengers plan to return toÃÂ their original route to deliver a new message: ban assault weapons and high capacity magazines and do not arm teachers.
That ride, which will begin with a public rally, is scheduled for May 5-8.
