State Police Seek Warrant In
Garner Incident
State police said they are seeking an arrest warrant against a Garner Correctional Institution inmate who was involved in an incident at the high-security prison on Nunnawauk Road.
State police said they went to the prison about 6:20 pm March 14 to investigate a correction officerâs report that inmate Jonathan Wright, 20, allegedly struck the officer in the eye and the nose.
An arrest warrant with charges of assault on a correction officer and breach of peace is being sought against Wright, state police said.
Wright is an unsentenced inmate at Garner who is being held there on $25,000 bail on a pending charge of first-degree criminal trespassing.
