Janet Marie Tanner of Newtown and Kevin Joseph Kuzma were married on November 17, 2007, by the brideâs father, the Pastor Jack Tanner. The wedding was performed at The Aqua Turf Club in Southington, followed by a reception at the same location. The bride was given into marriage by her father.
The bride is the daughter of Penny and Jack Tanner of Newtown.
For her wedding day she wore a More Lee strapless luxe taffeta mermaid fit gown in white with elaborate embroidery and Swarovski crystals. She carried a hand tied bouquet of Femma and Leonidas roses with white hydrangea and red hypericum berries.
Her matron of honor was her sister, Tami Lawson of Golden, Colo. Bridesmaids were Christen Owen of Springfield, Ill., Kate Tarshis of Carrollton, Ga., and Jen Van Epps of Newtown. The attendants all wore Bill LevKoff tissue taffeta strapless gowns in burnt orange complemented with chocolate brown sashes.
The best man was J.J. Salgado of Miami, Fla. Ushers were Dan Freddino of Beacon Falls, Brian Rosato of Bridgeport, and James Tanner of Newtown.
Mrs Kuzma is a graduate of Newtown High School, and also of Paul Mitchell the School in Danbury. She is employed as a hair stylist at Robert Anthonyâs in Newtown.
The groom is the son of Diane and Stanley Kuzma of Beacon Falls.
He is a Newtown High School graduate, and also graduated from the University of Connecticut at Storrs. He is employed as a physical therapist for Athena Healthcare Systems.
The couple celebrated their wedding with a trip to Sandals Antigua and have returned to their home in Naugatuck.
