Three Vehicles

Police report a three-vehicle accident about 5:53 pm March 17 near 31 Berkshire Road.

Westbound motorist Andrew Perna, 38, of Danbury, who was driving a 1999 Ford F-250 pickup truck, stopped for traffic conditions, after which westbound motorist Robert Levin, 53, of Brookfield, who was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt, stopped behind the Ford F-250, police said.

Westbound motorist Martin Amidon, 28, of 3½ Glover Avenue, who was driving a 1990 Ford Crown Victoria, then struck the rear end of the Cobalt, pushing the Cobalt into the rear end of the F-250, police said.

Levin reported neck pain, but refused medical attention after ambulance volunteers arrived at the scene, police said. Sandy Hook firefighters went to the accident.

Police said they issued Amidon an infraction for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
