Men’s League Playoffs

Pantan Landscaping defeated Newtown Mobil 81-62. Russ Stusky led the way with 22 points, John Pantan had 16, Rich Engel scored 13, Aaron Vanger had 12, Kevin Carolan added 10 and Tim Byrne dropped 8 in the win. Roger Manning had 24 points, Pete Ivy scored 17, Kenny Oswald had 11 and Rich McCulluch added 10 in the defeat.

Svanda Painting 51 defeated Newtown Phone Book 41. Matt Marrioni had 19 points and Jeff Haddad scored 13 to lead the way for Svanda. Rob Merryfield had 17 points and Steve Bigham added 14 to lead Newtown Phone.

In semifinal games which were scheduled for Thursday (after The Bee went to press) Svanda Painting was to have played Total Pool & Spa and Pantan Landscaping was slated to take on My Place.

Women’s League (regular season)

ACG Solutions defeated Dr. Baum’s Braces 54-49. Jennifer Knapp and Annie Copola scored 22 and 14 points respectively for ACG and Tory Anderton led Dr. Baum’s with 23.

Alpine Realty defeated Southbury Printing 62-41. Kelly Fengler led Alpine with 29 points and Tracey Pelella led Southbury with 17.
