A Lack Of Direction
A Lack Of Direction
To the Editor:
I keep being amazed by the lack of direction and vision the leaders of this town have. Every week there is something new that boggles the mind. Ranging from not approving housing developments or local resident additions to approving commercial constructions everywhere, to disapproving the budget, to now a secret vote to stop the high school expansion.
I have been a resident of this town for almost five years. I have three kids under the age of 8, so this really impacts my family. I find it sad that the town is growing with great people and there is such a division on what should or should not be done. Why should I tell my co-workers or friends to move to Newtown?
Cutting back on school budgets, adding row after row of strip malls to Route 25, crowding of the high school, and the leaders donât care about the next generation to come and be raised in Newtown. (And I did not even bring up Fairfield Hills.)
