The 16th Annual NYS Talent Show — Show time is Friday, May 9, at 7 pm, with dress rehearsal on Wednesday, May 7.

Auditions will be held on Tuesday and Thursday, March 25 and 27, from 3 to 5 pm, and Monday, March 31 and Wednesday, April 2, from 4 to 5 pm. There are no auditions on March 24. Please call 270-4335 to set up your audition time. There will be a $5 registration charge per person payable at dress rehearsal.

Timing is critical. Acts MUST be limited to 2–2.5 minutes and only one act per child. Parents, please make sure the music is appropriate for all ages.

Parent Programs

Moms Groups — Groups will begin the first week in April.

Moms of Babies — Birth to 12 months, Wednesday, April 2, from 9:30 to 10:30 am.

Moms of Children 12 to 18 Months — Thursday, April 3, 9:30 to 10:30 am.

Parents of Children with Learning Differences –– Meets every other Monday. Next meeting will be March 31 from 9:30 to 10:30 am.

Be Aware: Heroin on the Rise — Presented by John Hamilton on Monday, April 7 (please note change of day and time) in the Memorial Room. Parents program will begin at 7 pm and concerned students will meet at 8:15 pm. Please call to register for this important program.

Ongoing Groups

New Format for Fathers’ Group with Frank Oliveria –– Saturday, April 12, at 10 am. Fathers, bring your children and share your common parenting experiences. This is a great way for babies and toddlers to get out with their dads.

Moms of Multiples –– Will meet on Thursday, March 27, at NYS. Please call to register.

Working Moms –– Meets the first Saturday of the month at 10 am. Next group is April 5.

Youth Programs

4-H –– Grades 1–4 meet on Tuesdays at Wesley Learning Center at the Methodist Church on Church Hill Road in Sandy Hook from 3:30 to 5 pm. Grades 5–8 will now meet Saturdays, 10 am to noon, at NYS. Call 270-4335 to sign up.

SibShops –– Meets on the third Thursday of the month from 3:45 to 5:30 pm at the middle school. The April meeting will be April 24.

Children of Divorce –– Grades 2–5, Mondays from 6 to 7 pm, will be held at NYS. The next group will meet on March 24. Please call to register.

HSYAB (High School Community Service Group) –– Meets on Monday, March 31, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.

MSYAB (Middle School Community Service Group) –– YAB will meet on Wednesday, April 2, from 4 to 5 pm.

NYCAAP (AIDS Awareness Group) –– Meets every Wednesday from 5:45 to 6:45 pm.

AIDSWEAR –– Meets every Monday from 5:15 to 6:15 pm.

ABC (Anti-Boredom Club) –– Please call for dates.
