Swamp Road
Motorist Narith Im, 36, of Danbury was driving a 1997 Honda CRV eastward on Swamp Road about 4:49 pm March 13, while it was snowing and there were icy road conditions, police said.
The Honda skidded on the ice and struck a utility pole, police said. Im was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
Pickup Mishap
Motorist Stephen Sullivan, 62, of 9 Tanglewood Lane was driving a 1999 Dodge Ram pickup truck eastward on Route 34, and was turning to the right to enter Tanglewood Lane at about 5:26 pm March 13, while it was snowing and there were icy road conditions, police said. The truck skidded and struck a tree, police said. Sullivan was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
Underhill Accident
Police report that two sport-utility vehicles were involved in an accident on Underhill Road at about 4:28 pm March 8.
Motorist Lisa Cascella, 35, of 32 Poplar Drive was driving a 2000 Dodge Durango eastward, and while making a left curve, the Dodge collided head-on with a westward 1994 Chevrolet Blazer, which was driven by Thomas Fargeorge, 47, of Guilford, police said.
Lisa Cascella and Dodge passenger, Marisa Cascella, 9, of the same address, received injuries in the collision, but refused medical treatment, police said.
Police issued Lisa Cascella a written warning for failure to grant one-half of the highway.
Dog Violation
Police said that after learning that they held a warrant for her arrest, Lisa Saltzman, 35, of 6 Castle Hill Road turned herself over to them on March 14, and was charged with failure to pay a fine or plead to an infraction in connection with a past incident of allowing a dog to roam.
Saltzman was arraigned on the charges that day in Danbury Superior Court, police said.

Multiple Charges
Newtown police said Brenden Wark, 19, of 25 Underhill Road was detained in Suffield by Suffield police on March 16, after they learned that Newtown police held two warrants for Warkâs arrest in connection with past incidents.
Newtown police then charged Wark on one warrant listing charges of driving under the influence; failure to grant the right of way at an intersection; driving an unregistered motor vehicle; improper use of a vehicle marker plate, license, and registration; driving without automotive insurance, and driving under suspension.
The other warrant listed charges of disorderly conduct and failure to appear in court.
Newtown police held Wark on a $8,700 bond overnight for an arraignment on the charges March 17 in Danbury Superior Court.
Bethel Man
After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, David Farrell, 45, of Bethel turned himself over to police on March 14 was charged with failure to pay a fine or plead to a charge of simple trespassing in connection with an incident in 2002.
Police released Farrell on a $77 bond for an April 3 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Castle Meadow Road
Motorist William J. Versace, 19, of Watertown was driving a 1985 Jeep Cherokee on Castle Meadow Road, near Brushy Hill Road, at about 12:43 am March 16, when he lost control of the sport-utility vehicle while negotiating a curve, oversteered, drove up an embankment, and then rolled over on the road, police said.
Versace was not injured, police said. Police verbally warned him for making an improper turn.
MV Stop
State police report that during a motor vehicle stop on eastbound Interstate 84, near Exit 10, about 10:40 pm March 16, they charged motorist Jose Tapia, 25, of Waterbury with driving under suspension and also with driving without automotive insurance. State police also said Danbury police held an outstanding arrest warrant on Tapia. State police released Tapia on a $500 bond for a March 24 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Tractor-Trailer
At about 11:50 pm on March 13, an unknown tractor-trailer truck, which was traveling eastward on Interstate 84 between Exits 9 and 10, veered from the right lane of two lanes into the left lane, striking motorist Angelo Martinez, 23, of Waterbury, who was driving a 1996 Honda Civic, state police said.
The impact forced the Honda into a metal-beam guardrail, state police said. The truck did not stop after the collision. Its driver would be subject to multiple charges, state police said.
The Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps transported Martinez to Danbury Hospital for treatment of arm and shoulder injuries, state police said. State police are investigating the crash.
Volvo Into Rails
Motorist John E. Shirley, 49, of 17 The Boulevard was driving a 1999 Volvo V70-R station wagon northward on The Boulevard on March 13, when while rounding a curve in the road, the Volvo began sliding on the snowy, slushy road surface, police report.
The Volvo then struck some metal guardrailing, scraping a fender, police said. Shirley was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
Currituck Accident
Motorist Tarek A. Mabrouk, 36, was driving a 1990 Toyota Camry southward on Currituck Road, near Blakeslee Road, about 4:20 pm March 13, when the Toyota went out of control on the snowy road and slid onto the southbound road shoulder, police report.
Mabrouk was not injured. Police verbally warned Mabrouk for traveling too fast for conditions.
Volvo Vs Deer
Motorist Caitlin Curry Capon, 19, of 40 Hundred Acres Road was driving a 1990 Volvo 240-DL sedan northward near 65 Boggs Hill Road at about 6:44 pm March 15, when a deer entered the road, police said.
Capon could not stop the Volvo in time and collided with the animal, which died from the impact, police said. Capon was not injured, police said. No enforcement was taken.
Grand Cherokee
Motorist Roy Carranza, 29, of New Milford was driving a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Hawleyville Road, near Currituck Road, about 2:30 pm March 16, when a deer ran into the sport-utility vehicle, after which the animal died, police said.
Carranza was not injured. Police took no enforcement.

Buttonball Drive
Police report a two-vehicle accident on Buttonball Drive in Sandy Hook about 9:49 pm March 13.
Motorist Nancy Abbott, 51, of 10 Hickory Lane, who was driving a 2002 Honda Accord, slid on ice and collided with motorist David Glassman, 35, of Rochester, N.Y., who was driving a 1998 Dodge Ram pickup truck, police said. There were no injuries. Police issued Abbott a written warning for traveling too fast for conditions.
I-84 Ramp Accident
Motorist Kam Y. Yeung, 30, of New York City, who was driving a 1996 Nissan sedan, stopped at the end of eastbound Interstate 84âs Exit 10 off-ramp at about 1:33 pm March 12, police said.
Motorist James F. Martin, Jr, 37, of Bethel, who was driving a 1985 GMC pickup truck, then drove into the rear end of the Nissan, police said.
There were no injuries. Police issued Martin a written warning for following too closely.
Three Vehicles
Police report a three-vehicle accident on Queen Street near Newtown Middle School at about 3 pm March 11.
Southbound motorist Eileen Brooks, 40, of 7 Stone Gate Drive, who was driving a 1998 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, stopped and was waiting to make a left turn into the school driveway, after which southbound motorist Leon Canfield, 68, of 16 Pine Street, who was driving a 1997 Subaru Impreza, stopped behind the Chrysler, police said.
Southbound motorist Timothy Lapak, 18, of 18 Fieldstone Drive, who was driving a 1995 Ford Probe, hit the rear end of the Subaru, pushing the Subaru into the rear end of the Chrysler, police said. There were no injuries. Police issued Lapak an infraction ticket for traveling an unreasonable distance apart.
Two Warrants
Police served two arrest warrants against a local man on March 19 in connection with past incidents, listing charges including first-degree failure to appear in court, second-degree failure to appear in court, driving under the influence, and disorderly conduct. Police said they held Kevin McCarthy, 43, of 68 Appleblossom Lane on a $55,000 bond for an arraignment on the charges March 19 in Danbury Superior Court.
Honda Vs Saturn
Police report that motorist Judith Discala, 59, of 188 Brushy Hill Road, who was driving a 1999 Honda Civic at about 2:14 pm March 17, was turning left from Palestine Road onto Hundred Acres Road and collided with motorist Jacob Vogel, 17, of 8 West Farm Ridge Road, who was driving a 1995 Saturn westward on Hundred Acres Road.
There were no injuries. Police issued Discala a written warning for making an improper left turn.
