Sandy Hook Student Accepted Into People to People Leadership Program
Christina Cistulli, a student at The Fraser-Woods School, has been accepted into the People to People World Leadership Forum. Christina joined a select group of students in Washington, D.C., March 9 to 14, to study leadership and explore some of the United Statesâ most prominent monuments and institutions.
From Capitol Hill to the Smithsonian Institution, and from Gettysburg National Military Park to the International Spy Museum, Christina joined the group in examining the characteristics of American leadership during times of national challenge and prosperity. Forum delegates also participated in small group discussions and exercises to experience first-hand how successful leaders develop strategies, make decisions, build consensus, and foster change.
Christina was nominated and accepted for the honor based on outstanding scholastic merit, civic involvement and leadership potential.
The program was coordinated by People to People Leadership Programs to fulfill the vision President Dwight D. Eisenhower had for fostering world citizenship when he founded People to People during his presidency in 1956. For additional information please visit www.wlfleaders.org.
