Former Newtown Hook & Ladder Fire Company Chief
Kenneth F. Pelletier, 76, of Newtown, beloved husband of Sally (Kitchen) Pelletier, died in Yale New Haven Hospital March 17. Mr Pelletier was born in Jamaica Queens, N.Y., son of Louis E. and Anna F. Pelletier.
He attended Newtown High School, Iowa State University, and graduated from University of Washington. He then served in the US Air Force SAC as a captain based in Bangor, Maine, piloting KC97 Stratotankers.
He returned to Newtown where he worked in his familyâs busiÂness, Pelletier Inc, a fire and security systems company. He was a lifetime member and former chief of Newtown Hook & Ladder Volunteer Fire DepartÂment. He was also former president of Heritage Village Ambulance Association and Heritage Village Computer Club.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years; his children Stephen Pelletier, Luann Sullivan, and Michele Potenziani; grandchildren Nicole and Alexandra Pelletier; Sean, Caitlin, and Marleigh Sullivan; and Taylor and Mathew Potenziani; and one great-grandchild, Raeanne.
His brother Alan Gibson Pelletier; sister Joan Swedlund; and a great-grandchild, Breyden, predeceased Mr Pelletier.
Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Sunday, March 22, from 4 to 7 pm.
Interment in Newtown Village Cemetery will be private
