Bernard T. âBernieâ Eskierski, Jr, 52, of Sandy Hook, died March 11, at Danbury Hospital. Mr Eskierski was born June 6, 1956, in Port Chester, N.Y., the son of the late Bernard T. and Stella âMimiâ (Zarska) Eskierski.
He was a graduate of Norwalk High School and worked for John G. Goetjen Moving and Storage Company in Wilton.
Two sisters, Joanne Knees of Newtown and Suzanne Eskierski of Southbury; his daughter Joslynn Eskierski of New Fairfield; a brother Steven Eskierski of Southbury; and two nieces, Courtney and Morgan Knees, survive Mr Eskierski.
Joslynn was Mr Eskierskiâs greatest gift in life. He treasured the time he spent with his daughter and he will always be remembered for his love and devotion to her.
Those who knew him recognized his loyalty as a friend and his unique sense of humor. He had great love and respect for all sports and was a great athlete in his day. He had a passion for food and took great pride in his cooking skills.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for family and friends at Sacred Heart Church in Southbury, Saturday, March 28, at 11 am. A memorial gathering will be held Saturday morning from 10 am until 11 am in the daily chapel of the church. Burial will be held in St Maryâs Catholic Cemetery in Rye Brook, N.Y.
The Southbury Funeral Home of Munson Lovetere, 235 Main Street North, is in charge of arrangements.
