WATERBURY â The next in the current series of evening courses running through Post Universityâs Equine Department will start on Monday, March 29 at 6:30 pm. This course, Stable Management I, is the companion course to Stable Management II, and covers topics ranging from safe handling procedures and grooming, to tack fitting, bits and bitting, and boots and bandages.Â
The Stable Management I course will also cover advice on record-keeping and insurance requirements and include some practical components in a barn.Â
Any horse lovers and owners who wish to learn more valuable information about efficient and responsible stable management are invited to apply for this course. The Equine Husbandry series of courses may be taken in any order and are open to anyone interested. No pre-requisites are required. Each course runs for eight weeks, with one evening per week for three hours. Students may earn CEU credits or take the courses for personal enrichment. Stable Management I will run Mondays, March 29 through May 17 from 6:30-9:20 pm on the Waterbury Campus of Post University. Classes are held in MacDermid Hall, room 103. The campus is off Exit 17 off I-84. Park in North Lot on Country Club Road.Â
To take the classes for personal enrichment and a Post University Certificate, the cost for each course is $350. To earn CEU credits the cost is $500 per course.
