Opposed To A Deer Cull

To the Editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to voice our strong opposition to any deer culling effort.

We are opposed for a number of reasons, including cost, increased risk of liability on the part of the town (adding the potential for significant cost), the conflicting evidence that culling works or that deer are the primary culprit and the fact that more humane ways to control the deer population are available.

We will join in any effort to publicly oppose such action.
