 Youth Basketball Playoff Schedule Announced
The schedule is set for the final rounds for this yearâs basketball playoff games for the Newtown Youth Basketball Association in-house leagues.
Game information is as follows:
Junior League (7th and 8th grade) Boysâ semifinals on Saturday March 20 at 9 am. The Cavs face the Thunder. The second semifinal game follows at 10:15 am, with the Bricklayers taking on the Eagles. The winners will meet in the championship game on Saturday March 27, at the Newtown High School at 9 am.
In The Junior League Girls championship game, which takes place this Saturday March 20 at 11:30 am at Reed Intermediate School, the Huskies will face off against the Chaos.
The Intermediate Boys 6th grade league will have its semifinals at the NHS gym on Saturday, March 20 at 9:30 am when the Huskies take on the Celtics. Following that game, the Wolfpack face the Thunder at 10:45 am. The winners will play in the championship game on Saturday March 27 at the Newtown High School gym at 10:15 am.
In the Intermediate Boysâ 5th grade action, the semifinals are also this Saturday, March 20 at the high School. At noon the Green Monster tips off against Destiny. The second part of the semifinals gets going at 1:15 pm when the Lightening face March Madness. The winners meet in the finals on Saturday, March 27 at the Newtown High School gym at 11:30 am.
The semifinals for the Intermediate Girls (5th and 6th grade), will take place at Reed school on Saturday March 20. At 12:45 pm the Celtics take on the Predators, and at 2 pm the Storm battles the 56ers.
The winners will battle in the championship game on Saturday, March 27 at Newtown High School at 12:45 pm.
