Juvenile Arthritis College Scholarships
The Arthritis Foundation is offering $1,000 college scholarships to high school seniors or college undergraduates with arthritis.
Students must have juvenile arthritis that has been diagnosed by a physician and be a resident of Connecticut or Rhode Island. A volunteer committee judges scholarship applications based on academic achievement, disease impact, and volunteer service to the school or community.
Juvenile arthritis affects approximately 285,000 children in the United States, according to the Arthritis Foundation. The peak time of juvenile arthritis is between 1 to 3 and 8 to 12 years of age. Scholarship applications are available through Newtown High Schoolâs Career Center or by calling 800-541-8350 or emailing info.snet@arthritis.org.
