Devoted To Family [naviga:h2 style="text-indent:0in;line-height:12.0pt"]

And Career [/naviga:h2][/naviga:h2]

Elizabeth Ann “Betsey” Adams, 64, of Bridgewater, died March 11, in New Milford Hospital, after an extended illness. She was born in Danbury December 14, 1946, a daughter of Frances (Renner) and Michael Sedor of Newtown.

Mrs Adams grew up in Newtown and was a graduate of Newtown High School, Class of 1964. She also was a graduate of Post College in Waterbury.

Shortly after marrying Glenn Cecil Adams, Betsey and her husband flew to Germany to experience the world. Upon returning, she devoted herself to her two great loves: family and her career. She loved to work almost as much as she loved her family, and throughout decades successfully worked for a variety of small business in the area, including Olsen Heating and Plumbing, The Gold Report, and her final employment at Mitler and Mercaldo of Danbury.

Mrs Adams had a boundless energy and in no way sacrificed her family for her work. She could often be found helping out with the Bridgewater Grange dinners, making jellies and jams, or supporting St Mark’s Episcopal Church. She always had time for her family and for humanity. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by her son, Jason M. Adams, and his wife Geri, of Newtown and two grandsons.

Funeral services at St Mark’s Episcopal Church and interment in Bridgewater Center Cemetery will be held later this spring.

Memorial donations to the American Lung Association, 45 Ash Street, East Hartford CT 06108 or www.lungne.org, will be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in care of Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
