Meets March 21

BROOKFIELD — The Housatonic Valley Group of the Sierra Club will present a program about the Grace Factory Farm Project at 7:30 pm on Monday, March 21, at the Brookfield Community Center.

The speaker will be Dr William Weida, head of the project. He will talk about the pollution caused by CAFOs (confined animal feeding operations), the inhumane living conditions for the animals, and the antibiotic- and steroid-containing meat that is produced. The Grace Factory Farm Project works to create a sustainable healthful humane food production system that is economically viable.
