Peter P.         Urban, Jr

Peter P. Urban, Jr, 83, of Milford, the retired owner and operator of Peter and Sons Store, formerly of Long Hill and Stratford, died on March 10 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, West Haven.

Born in Milford, he was from a family of 13, and a son of the late Peter and Stella Winchkiewicz Urban. He was predeceased by his wife, Wanda Radozycki Urban, and a son, Ronald Urban.

Survivors include five sons and their wives, Samuel and Constance Urban of Newtown, Lawrence Urban of Newtown, Kenneth and Doris Urban of Monroe, Gregory and Dianne Urban of Stratford, David and Doreen Urban of Stratford; a daughter, Cecelia Urban of Newtown; his companion, Adrienne J. Lund of Milford; a brother; Joseph Urban of Land O’ Lakes, Fla.; three sisters, Helen Potkay of Trumbull, Joy Rooy of St Augustine, Fla.; and Elizabeth Long of Trenton, N.J.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was a World War II US Army veteran, and had lived in Monroe for more than 35 years and then retired to Milford. Mr Urban was a member and past Master of America — St John’s Lodge No. 8 AF & AM of Stratford, a member of the Lafayette Consistory and a past Shriner.

Funeral services took place on March 14 from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull and at St Stephen Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian burial. Interment followed in St Rose Cemetery, Newtown. To light a virtual candle, vists www.abriola.com.
