Newtown Newcomers And Neighbors Offer Annual Scholarship

Newtown Newcomers and Neighbors Club will, for the second year, be offering a $500 recognition scholarship to a graduating Newtown High School senior who is a “newcomer” to the NHS community.

To be eligible, the applicants must be graduating from NHS in June, have moved into Newtown and/or NHS during their junior or senior year, and made a positive impact on their school or community.

Applications are available in the Career Center at Newtown High School or on the Newtown Newcomers and Neighbor Club’s website, www.newtownnewcomers.com

The deadline for applying is April 15. Mail the completed application to Newtown Newcomers and Neighbors, Attn: Scholarship, PO Box 3644, Newtown CT 066470. For further information on the scholarship, contact Margie Mayers at 270-1551.
