The Cancer Journey

DANBURY —The Community Cancer Collaborative invites anyone affected by cancer, their family and friends to attend a special program addressing “Managing Finances Through the Cancer Journey” on Wednesday, April 13, from 5:30 to 8 pm.

The program will be conduced at the Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital, first floor Stroock Building, Locust Avenue entrance. Park free in the Red Parking garage, or use the hospital’s valet parking service.

The featured speaker is Lynne Grant, extension educator, UConn Cooperative Extension System. She will discuss money management strategies, budgeting (income and expenses), communicating with family, creditors and health care providers, debt and credit management tools, resources, and health insurance. Ample time will be available to answer questions.

A light dinner will be served prior to the program from 5:30 to 6 pm, and the presentation begins at 6:15 pm. Reservations are required to attend the April 13 program, and can be made by contacting Lillian Monaghan, Praxair Cancer Center, at 797-7898.
