Life Line Screening Coming March 21
Life Line Screening Coming March 21
On Monday, March 21, at the Newtown United Methodist Church in Sandy Hook, Life Line Screening will offer area residents the opportunity to spend a few minutes in health screenings that could quite possibly save their lives.
Life Line Screening will offer three primary health screenings to detect the risk of stroke and vascular disease. These tests include a carotid artery screening test, abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) test, and an ankle brachial index (ABI). In addition, Life Line Screening will also offer a bone density screening for women, which tests for the early detection of osteoporosis.
These fast, painless, and low-cost tests use ultrasound technology and will be conducted by a registered or registry-eligible ultrasound technologist. A board certified physician reviews the results of each test to ensure accuracy of the results before the findings are mailed to each individual.
Individuals whose screenings suggest further evaluation are encourage to seek appropriate follow-up care with their own physician.
Anyone interested in the screenings must register in advance. Call 800-710-1913 to schedule an appointment. The tests are offered for $45 each, or a package of all four screenings for $129.
Life Line Screening is the largest mobile vascular screening service in the nation. They have provided painless, noninvasive, ultrasound testing for 2.5 million individuals since 1991. For more information about the screenings, visit the website www.lifelinescreening.com.
