Geraldine Helen Febbraio, 79, of Torrington, formerly of Westport, wife of the late Ernest J. Febbraio, died March 11, at the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. Mrs Febbraio was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter of the late Howard P. and Rose (Kitsch) Timmons and had resided in Westport for 57 years before moving to Torrington seven years ago.
Survivors include one son, Tim Febbraio, and his wife, Valerie, of Newtown; one daughter, Bonnie Owen, and her husband, Bruce, of Torrington; and six grandchildren, Jennifer, Patrick, and Jaclyn Owen and Leah, Devon, and Christopher Febbraio.
Prior to retiring, Mrs Febbraio had served for many years as clerk for the Probate Court in Westport for Judge Robert Anstett and Judge Earl Capuano. She was a graduate of Staples High School and was a former member of St Paulâs Lutheran Church in Westport.
A funeral service was held March 17 in the Harding Funeral Home, with the Rev Paul Teske officiating. Interment followed in Willowbrook Cemetery.
