A Memorable Evening
A Memorable Evening
To the Editor:
It was such a delight to see the Newtown Middle Schoolâs production of Youâre a Good Man, Charlie Brown. What a well chosen play for this age group! The cast seemed to have a great deal of fun performing it, and the audience responded enthusiastically.
Andrew Nichols playing Charlie Brown was not only very convincing, but enhanced the role with his beautiful voice. Bianca Crudo playing Snoopy moved with such ease and fluidity that she was a joy to watch. Her facial expressions were perfect, and she was never out of character. And Kelsey Hopper playing Lucy gave a magnificent performance. It would be hard to imagine a more perfect Lucy.
Although Iâve cited only a few of the performers, the entire cast, ensemble, production staff, and crew have reason to be very proud of the wonderfully enjoyable evening they gave to the Newtown community.
Finally, congratulations to directors Susan Lang, Valerie Leone and Jennifer Sinal for their skill in drawing out the talents of these young performers. My husband and I want to thank you for a memorable evening.
Sincerely,
Mary Allaire
