NHS Is Getting ‘Footloose’ This Weekend
Newtown High School’s spring musical production of Footloose, will be staged at the school, 12 Berkshire Road, this weekend, starting March 17.
The musical will be staged in the school’s auditorium, and, similar to the popular motion picture by the same name, the story takes place in a small town where dancing has been banned.
Performance dates and times are Thursday, March 17, to Sunday, March 20, at 7 pm, and a 2 pm performance is set for Saturday, March 19.
General admission is $20, students and seniors is $15.
Ingersoll Auto of Danbury is the main sponsor for the spring musical this year, and Ingersoll Automotive President Todd Ingersoll delivered the donation in person on March 7. Ingersoll Auto of Danbury sponsored the production for $7,500.
NHS released the names of students participating in the production.
Cast members are Ashton Almeter, Grason Anderson, Theo Anderson, Greg Andrew, Sadie Baimel, Hyrum Bacon, Ava Baroody, Bella Battaglia, Cameron Barr, Madison Benson, Sarah Bertsche, Katie Bisset, Leah Crebbin, Catherine Dalton, Liv Doscher, Lukas Durrwachter, Adlien Ekman, Julia Forlenzo, Sadie Gureasko-Moore, and Samuel Giuggio.
The cast also features Liz Gotschlich, Morgan Harrison, Emily Joyce, Sean Kenny, Jules Kessler, Brooke Kinsey, Alex Kirkman, Kirtana Kunzweiler, Kristin Lageman, Grace Lynch, Zoe Marsh, Ali Powers, Charlotte Razzino, Molly Razzino, Ella Grace Renak, Madeline Roe, Apollo Roman-Weide, Grace Snowden, Michael Spanedda, Andrew Sposato, Madeleine Talluto, Jacob Underwood, Reese Wheat, and Nick Williams.
