Florence M. Halmose, 82, of Ansonia died March 11 in St Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport. She was the wife of the late Joseph Halmose. Born in Bridgeport, October 31, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Florence and Arthur Sullivan.

Sons John Halmose, and Christine and family Mary Kate and Justin, of Newtown, and Thomas Halmose, and Kim and family Joseph and Timothy, of Ansonia; brother Robert Sullivan, and wife Dorothy, of Hyde Park, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews survive Mrs Halmose.

She was a graduate of St Patrick Grammar School, Central High School, and St Vincent's College of Nursing, and was a nurse at St Vincent's.

Mrs Halmose was a communicant of the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia.

Calling Hours will take place Thursday, March 17, from 4 to 7 pm, in the Bennett Funeral Home, 91 North Cliff Street, Ansonia. Her funeral will leave the funeral home at 9 am, Friday, March 18, to the Church of the Assumption for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Assumption School, in care of the Bennett Funeral Home.
