James B. Grant

Former Newtown Resident

James B. Grant, 55, of Middlebury, died March 7, at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 2, 1956, in Bridgeport, son of Lois (Kniffin) and John Grant. He was the husband of Theresa (Melita) Grant.

Mr Grant has resided in Middlebury for five and a half years, previously living in Newtown for more than 12 years. He had worked for more than 25 years at Bridgeport Fittings, Inc, as a quality control supervisor.

Besides his wife of 28 years, he leaves two sons, Richard and George of Middlebury; five siblings; his father- and mother-in-law Anthony and Mary Melita of Stratford; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass took place March 10. Burial was in Mt Olivet Cemetery, Watertown
