A Delightful Performance

To the Editor:

Congratulations and thank you to the Newtown Middle School for the entertaining rendition of Bye Bye Birdie, which they performed for the seniors last week. The tea was delightful and I know everyone enjoyed the refreshments served prior to the performance.

I was very impressed by the students as they greeted and served us. They were courteous, respectful, and helpful to anyone who needed aid or directions. It was such a pleasure to be served by happy, smiling boys and girls, bringing joy to all of the seniors who attended.

The performance itself was stellar and the actors’ enthusiasm was contagious — having us humming along and tapping our feet to the beat of the music. Meeting both the principal of NMS and the superintendant of Newtown schools added to my enjoyment of the afternoon.

Thank you again to all of the participants who made the afternoon at the middle school very memorable.
