Thanks For Saving Loni

To The Editor:

Imagine yourself coming home from work one evening and discovering multiple rescue vehicles parked in front of your house for almost as far as you can see. Well that’s what happened to me!

If you read The Bee last week, “Volunteers Rescue Dog From Icy Lake Waters,” you’d be aware of the incredible job our volunteers of Newtown did for saving my collie from certain death.

I know I wasn’t able to thank each of you personally, so I would like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in the rescue… To Ginger and Jeffrey McKee for making the initial call… To Milt Adams who carried Loni to safety. The Volunteers of Newtown (ambulance, underwater, firefighters) deserve our respect and support. They certainly make Newtown a better and safer place in which to live.
