New Courses Offered At Sacred Heart University

FAIRFIELD — Want to learn more about the Internet? Interested in learning how to choose the right school for your child? Want advice on how to grow your business?

Sacred Heart University, having just refreshed its non-credit course offerings, now has over 175 courses geared toward personal and professional development. Areas of concentration range from Computers, Real Estate, and Professional Development to English Language, Exam Preparation, and special interest courses, such as Personal Power and Success, Helping Your Child Succeed, and Parenting.

The University is also offering non-credit certificate programs in Interior Design, Leadership, Travel Agent, Gerontology, and Administrative Assistant. These programs allow participants to earn recognition for their training, offering a certificate upon completion of the course.

“We are excited about our new non-credit course offerings,” said Stephen Brown, Dean of Sacred Heart University’s University College. “We have over 175 courses geared toward personal and professional development that probe a lot of very interesting and important topics. Whether someone is seeking a new career, in need of additional training, or just wanting to learn more, chances are we have a course that will suit their needs.”

One of the new non-credit courses has the added benefit of helping the community. A MADD introduction to the Internet is a special two-hour introductory course providing a history of the Internet and tips on how to more effectively search the Internet. This course is offered at the University’s Stamford Campus on Saturday, March 25, from 10 am to noon or 12:30 to 2:30 pm. All proceeds go directly to the Litchfield County Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

Registration is open now for spring classes. For more information, contact Robin Kennedy at 203/371-7831.
