The third Sunday in Lent will be celebrated at the 10:30 am service. The featured anthem by the choir will be “O God, The Source.” A special song presentation of “Here Am I Lord” will be made by the Sunday School children, led by Carl Lindquist. Following the service, the March coffee hour will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Sunday school and Bible classes meet at 9 am in the Fellowship Hall and other classrooms. The calendar for the week includes the evening Bible class on Monday at 8 pm, and the Missions and Evangelism Committee on Tuesday at 8 pm. On Wednesday, the Lenten soup supper is set for 6:30 pm, followed by the mid-week service at 7:30 pm. Choir meets at 8:15 pm on Wednesday. On Thursday, the Confirmation Class meets at 7 pm and on Saturday there will be a new member dinner, starting at 6 pm, in the Fellowship Hall.

A special meeting of the members will follow the church service at 11:30 am in sanctuary to act on business concerning the authorization to proceed with plans for eventually constructing a new church house on West Street.

The Unitarian Universalist Society of Northern Fairfield County has Sunday Services at 9 and 11 am. On Sunday, March 26, guest speaker the Rev Henry Green, retiring interim minister at the Community Unitarian Church in White Plains, NY, will lead services on “How Come The Road Never Ends?”  “Several weeks ago, a UU was riding with her 8 year old son, and he suddenly wondered out loud, ‘How come the road never ends?’  How often does your road end, or at least feel like it does?  Why does the road go on easily for some, while for others, there seems to be no end to the barriers and roadblocks?” Religious Education and childcare for young children are available during both services.

Saturday, March 25: Tzav: Shabbat Parah – This Shabbat we read about the ancient purification rites that the Israelites observed for the Passover sacrifice.  All are welcome.
