Warren L. Condit
Warren L. Condit, 83, husband of Elizabeth (Myott) Condit of New Lebbon Road, Newtown, died March 11 in Mediplex in Southbury.
Warren was born in Staten Island, N.Y., July 23, 1919, a son of the late E. LeRoy and Madeline (Schweizer) Condit. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II, serving from 1940 to 1945 as a radioman, first class, and photographer.
From 1947 to 2000, Warren operated Condit Manufacturing in Sandy Hook, a company specializing in equipment used in the development of color films, the manufacturing of the teleprompter, and violin making tools.
Warren was a member of the Danbury Music Centre, the Danbury Mineralogical Society, the New York Athletic Club, and the Westchester Ski Club. Warren was a member of the Condits and Cousins Family Organization.
In addition to his wife, Warren is survived by a son, Everett Condit, a teacher at Naugatuck High School, and his wife, Carol, of Newtown.
A funeral service will be held in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, at 11 am Saturday, March 15. Interment will be in Zoar Cemetery in the spring.
