Jane Elizabeth Buonocore

Jane Elizabeth Buonocore, 77, of Hebron, died March 7 at the ARC in Plantsville. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Buonocore.

Mrs Buonocore was born June 12, 1925, in Wilkes-Barre, Penn., daughter of the late Leander and Josephine (McQuiston) Kirstein. She was raised in the Pittsburgh, Penn., area and had been a resident of Norwalk for more than 30 years. She had worked for the Norwalk Hour, the New Canaan Police Department, and the Bridgeport Salvation Army.

Jane was the beloved mother of four daughters, Lizbeth DiFarrio of Stratford, Mary Buonocore of Port Jefferson, Wash., Barbara Buonocore of Philadelphia, Penn., and Laura Green of Hebron; three sons, Thomas Buonocore of Sandy Hook, James Buonocore of Concord, Calif., and Robert Buonocore, Jr, of Oakland, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated March 11 at St Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk, with burial following at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.

The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk, was in charge of arrangements.
