Holding Saddam Accountable
Holding Saddam Accountable
To the Editor:
In reply to Mr Danzigerâs letter of February 28 I submit the following:
There is so much that could be written in response to what your letter asserted that I despaired of trying and can only offer this:
Our current president has finally shed this nation of the tired and failed ideological dogma of foreign policy be appeasement. Through grim determination, this president, not the UN, will hold Saddam Hussein accountable for the terror and misery he has foisted upon his own people. He will hold him accountable for the multiple threats to world peace that he possesses in the form of biological, chemical, and potentially, nuclear weapons.
Finally, this president looks to the future, not through the microscope of an opinion poll, but rather the telescope of a lasting world peace.
I applaud this man and support him wholeheartedly.
Sincerely,
James Swift
