Edward B.            Turosky

Edward B. Turosky, 77, of Sandy Hook, formerly of Brookfield Center, husband of Jean (Stevenson) Turosky, died at Danbury Hospital on March 10.

Edward was born in Danbury on June 10, 1925, son of the late Joseph and Frances (Prybylski) Turosky. Edward grew up in Danbury and graduated from Sacred Heart School. He had been a lifelong member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Before his retirement in 1987, he worked in the shipping and receiving department at Heli-Coil for 27 years. Edward and his wife lived in Brookfield Center for 34 years before moving to Sandy Hook.

In addition to Jean, his wife and best friend for the past 48 years, he is survived by two sisters, Nellie Dekany and Mary Barton, both of Danbury, four devoted sisters-in-law, Ann Main and her husband, James of Bethel, Sally Barry and her husband, Stuart, of Deerfield Beach, Fla., Kathryn Stevens and her husband, Howard, of New Milford, and Joan Bond and her husband, George, of Hudson, Wis.; as well as many nieces and nephews. Edward was predeceased by two brothers, Theodore and Joseph Turosky; a sister, Anne (Pickert) Walker; and a nephew, Robert Pickert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, March 14, at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Danbury at 10 am. Burial will follow in St Peter Cemetery. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, on Thursday, March 13, from 5 to 8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 12 Cottage Street, Danbury, CT 06810; or to Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut, 405 Main Street, Danbury, CT 06810.

Green Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
