An Act Of Kindness

To the Editor:

I am visiting from Germany. Today I went shopping with my sister at the Big Y. My hands were full of groceries, and my sister had trouble opening the passenger side door for me. A kind woman saw the predicament we were in and opened the door for me.

That anonymous woman deserves to see her kindness recognized in this public manner and receive more thanks than my verbal expression of gratitude! I had not even been here 24 hours, and I already have a very positive anecdote to tell about my stay in this part of Connecticut.
