Anthony J. Crisci Dies in Florida
Anthony J. Crisci, 70, retired owner of Newtown Car Care Center, Inc, died March 12 in Marco Island, Fla.
He was the father of Pauline Goncalves of Newtown.
Mr Crisci was born in the Bronx, New York, November 15, 1929, a son of the late Frank and Camella (Scumbato) Crisci. He served in the United States Army following World War II.
From 1967 to 1992, Mr Crisci owned and operated the Newtown Esso and Newtown Exxon Service Center on South Main Street. In 1992 he, along with his son, established Newtown Car Care Center on Commerce Road. He retired in 1995 and had lived in Florida the past three years.
Mr Crisci was a longtime Brookfield resident and communicant of St Josephâs Church.
He is also survived by his son, Gary Crisci of Southbury; another daughter, Karen Koshel Crisci of Brookfield; a sister, Ida Aloise of Puerto Rico; and three grandchildren, Jessica Crisci, Johnny Koschel and Tyler Crisci. He is survived by his former wife, Eleanor (Tantillo) Crisci of Newtown.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 17, at 10 am in St Josephâs Church, Brookfield. Entombment will be in St Peter Garden Mausoleum, Danbury.
Calling hours were scheduled at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, Thursday, March 16, from 4 to 8 pm.
